Religious laws and rituals often hinder Jesus' work
Luke 14:2-3 (NKJV) And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
Dear Wonderful, Teaching, Loving, Saving Father God, Jesus confronts the lawyers and Pharisees with the foolishness of their religious laws and this is a warning to us too about our religious laws and rituals and how they can hinder Jesus’ work today.
Jesus speaking to my heart, I believe:
"Religious laws and rituals often hinder My work and should constantly be examined to see if they are doing so today. Rejoice in Me in all you say, think and do, being respectful of religious laws and rituals among believers and yet being bold to confront believers where these laws and rituals hinder, and even inhibit, the work of the Holy Spirit."
