Jesus showing mercy to those who persecute Him most
1 Timothy 1:16 (NKJV) However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
Dear Wonderful, Teaching, Loving, Saving Father God, how awesome that Jesus appeared to Paul who was persecuting believers, to show He has mercy on all people, even to those who persecute Him the most!
Jesus speaking to my heart, I believe:
"Me showing mercy to those who persecute Me most is a way that many, like Paul, have been saved when they see how much Father God and I love them even when they persecute and ridicule believers as Paul did! Rejoice in Me in all you say, think and do, witnessing to, and being kind to, unbelievers who persecute you, as Paul was, being a witness to the lost and an encouragement to other believers as you do so!"
