Being criticized for doing a good work for Jesus
Mark 14:6-7 (NKJV) But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always.
Dear Wonderful, Teaching, Loving, Saving Father God, how awesome as a woman poured very costly oil on Jesus’ head and some criticized her for doing so but Jesus said she had done a good work for Him in doing so!
Jesus speaking to my heart, I believe:
"Being criticized for doing a good work for Me happens today and often by religious people who want you to first meet their needs, often for things like new buildings to support their work which is a good thing but may not be what I am calling you to do. Rejoice in Me in all you say, think and do, being faithful in what I have called you to do, like the woman who poured expensive oil on My head, not being surprised if you are criticized by other religious people for doing so."
